Plate 63 of 'A New Book of Chinese Designs', consisting of a title page, index, and 120 plates, etched and published in 1754 by the British caricaturist, printseller and ornamental engraver Matthew Darly, in collaboration with George Edwards. The book consists of a variety of ornamental and costume designs of Chinese inspiration, some of them copies of the original works (including the title).

This plate consists of various designs for Chinese furniture. On the left stands a large vase with interlacing rings, holding two large, stylized flower buds and thin, long, scrolling leaves. In front of it is a hexagonal tub (?) with rectangular panels of marble and clover-shaped legs, and with a cane with scrolling tip in it. On the center is a tall table (?) with panels of marble, rolled up curtains, and rails with geometric patterns; a small basket with flowers and a tall bucket are placed on top of it. Next to it is a shorter table with a simple design, with trefoils at the ends of the legs and triangles flankeng the tabletop, with a pot, a tea cup (?) and a mirror on top of it. Behind it is a large vase with landscape designs, and on the floor, in front of it, is a fan (?) with long handle.
