Drawing for two dragonfly shades

This very unusual double watercolor study shows how a single design might be modified in different colorways. Much as in textile design, where a single pattern may be reproduced in different color combinations, these drawings show the range of options a client could choose from. The two studies are nearly identical, with the left study in a primarily green tone and the right study in a bluer palette with a brown border.
