This presentation drawing for a unique lamp commissioned by Miss H. W. Perkins features dogwood flowers, one of Louis Comfort Tiffany’s favorite decorative motifs, also visible in the Dogwood window just outside this gallery. Tiffany once remarked that the white springtime flowers of the dogwood tree “brighten things.” The actual lamp proposed in this drawing is extant in a private collection.
