Written by Ulrich Molitor German

A doctor of canonical law from Constance, Moltior writes this very early tract which includes an anonymous woodcut of witchcraft, specifically a scene showing weather witches casuing a hailstrom. The first edition was presumably commissioned by Duke Sigismund of Tyrol, at whose court Molitor worked. It was reprinted in Southern Germany and in all of the large imperial cities soon after its initial publication from Ulm.
