Includes poems by Carlo Gozzi and Carlo Goldoni. Title within elaborate etched armorial border, each page within etched allegorical border, several etched allegorical head- and tail-pieces. Frontispiece is an allegorical figure representing Venice draped in ermine, seated on a throne receiving homage of the newly elected Procurator of San Marco, Giovanni Francesco Pisani. On verso of title page an etched portrait of Gian-Francesco Pisani(?) after Alessandro Longhi. The etched vignettes have been attributed to G.B. Piazzetta. On last leaf a full page etching with colophon and allegorical printing press. Binding is the original green stencil wrapper with gold tooled ornament frames and the Pisani coat of arms and initials on front and back cover. 43 leaves, 80 pages of text proper.
