The bust length portrait of Crewe is presented nearly full face; he has a mustache and a small close trimmed beard. He wears a flat black cap with white ear flaps, a triple-pleated ruff, and a judge's robe with a white fur cape. Around his shoulders hangs a chain of an Order composed of knots and the letter 'S' with two portocullis and a rose.
