The fountain is characterized by the personifications of the four rivers Danube (Europe), Nile (Africa), Ganges (Asia) and Rio de la Plata (America) placed on the rocky base of a large obelisk. The print shows the fountain at an angle with the male personification of the Rio della Plata in the center.
