Interior view of the room where senator Francesco Ratta held a banquet for 64 people (government officials and nobility) at the end of his two year reign as gonfaloniere, held on February 28, 1693. A large round buffet table fills the room in Palazzo Vizzani (Bologna) and encircles a decorative apparatus shaped like a rock, crowned by a palm tree and the personification of the City of Bologna. The walls are filled with mirrors and to the right, over the fireplace, a collection of silverware is displayed.
