This print is bound in Volume I of Oeuvres. Jombert published his collection of Le Pautre in 1751. Volume I contains "desseins... pour la décoration des maisons, etouches, edifices;." This print is part of a series of six plates depicting bedrooms as the settings for scenes from Roman history. The series was published by Jean II Leblond in 1667 and by Samuel Sympson. This plate is of a state that is not described by Préaud, published by Jacques Chereau.
