Arabella Worsham’s bedroom on the second floor connected directly to the dressing room on one side and to a water closet, or bathroom, on the other. These Moorish-style ceramic tiles lined the walls and evoked the vogue for Turkish baths. Replicating the patterns and palette of Isnik tiles from the seventeenth century, they were nonetheless contemporary, produced in Gien, France.
