Attributed by Mariette to Hendrick van der Borcht the Elder; the attribution of the design to Parmigianino is erroneous. Rather, the print appears to be based on a Parmigianinesque drawing by Taddeo Zuccaro now in The Metropolitan Museum (inv. 2004.350.1); the same drawing was also used by Bartolomeo Passerotti for one of his etchings (Bartsch XVIII.2.1)
