27th plate of album with 60 19th-century costume plates and 1 drawing of mostly women's historical costumes, featuring a variety of designs for traditional costumes from different parts of the world, as well as costumes for literary characters. This plate consists of a variety of costumes for characters of "Le Petit Poucet" (Hop o' My Thumb, Little Thumbling) at the Théâtre de la Gaité. The first costume is for Little Red Riding Hood, and is made up of a blue and white short-sleeved blouse, a knee-length skirt with blue and white vertical stripes, belted around the waist with a yellow fabric, calf-length blue socks and white ballerina shoes, and a red ribbon crown to adorn her head. The second costume is for a mouse, and consists of a full-body gray leotard with a mouse tail and a gray hat with mouse ears, tied with a bow under the actress's chin. The following costume is for Miss Picke, made up of a yellow, military-inspired jacket and a gray crinoline skirt with two horizontal stripes with a red-and-brown tartan pattern, and a gray, pointed hat ordered with a matching tartan pattern and decorated with two red feathers. The fourth costume is for a female actress playing the role of a lawyer, and is made up of a bluish-gray full-body leotard with marine neck and a cape, and a belt around the hips tied on the front to form a large bow with hanging yellow tassels, and a hexagonal hat in matching colors. The fifth design is for the costume of Bouf-Bouf, the ogre, and is made up of a gray jacket with red sleeves and neck, belted around the waist with a tan belt with buckle from which hangs a small, gray bag, red culottes with gray boots, a red cape, and a gray hat with red feathers; he holds a spade on one hand. The final costume is for a donkey, made up of a knee-length, sleeveless yellow dress with gray fabric belt around the hips, tied in the front to form two donkey legs, and with a gray hat with donkey ears, tied around the actress's chin to form a small bow.
