60th plate of album with 60 19th-century costume plates and 1 drawing of mostly women's historical costumes, featuring a variety of designs for traditional costumes from different parts of the world, as well as costumes for literary characters, including Esmeralda. This plate consists of a costume for a judge, made up of a black-and-red gown with a white cravatte with black, semi-abstract scrolling motifs on the lover part, with black stockings and shoes with bows. The sleeves of the dress are wide, and two strips of fabric, bordered with ermin fur, hang from one of them. She wears a black hat on her head, her hair hanging loose like that of an 18th-century court judge. She wears long, black gloves on her hands, one of them holding a paper scroll.
