In an elegant drawing room, a plump man, Mr. Ego, gesticulates as he talks and holds a cup. His story has caused a footman to turn to listen and drop his tray, overbalancing another servant's plate of food. Other figures are seated in a semi-circle and a woman serves coffee or hot chocolate by a table at left next to a fireplace. Mounted with four other scenes designed and etched by Rowlandson: 59.533.1022(2, 4-6) and title page 59.533.1022(1).
