Sitter Robert Loveday British

Not on view

This bust-length portrait is contained within an octagonal frame. Loveday has long hair and wears a collar and gown. The print was used as frontispiece for the subject's "Letters Domestick and Forrein" (London, 1659). This is the second state, where the word "Romanses" in last line of attached verse has been corrected to "Romances."
