Not on view

Richard Suett was a comic actor who spent much of his career at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. He was known for acting Shakespeare's fools and was a favorite of George III. This print shows him seated with the theatre behind, identified by a colossal statue of Apollo on its roof. The print was published in 1811, after Suett's death. The theatre itself had been designed by Henry Holland and burned down three years before.
