Not on view

In this portrait George, Prince of Wales (later George IV) holds a bow and leans against the pedestal of a statue of Diana, his quiver and arrows at lower right. He wears a dark double-breasted coat buttoned at the chest and breeches with short boots. The Garter Star is pinned to his coat, a riband crosses his chest, and the Garter is fastened about one calf. A plumed bicorne hat sits near his elbow and, in the landscape at left, similarly attired gentlemen shoot at a target.
