Originally dedicated by a private individual as a votive offering, this stela probably depicted Haremhab presenting papyrus umbels to one or more deities. The accompanying inscription reads "May the protection of [all] life [be behind him forever]."
Formerly Albert Gallatin Collection (purchased at Spinks, London, 1952). Previously with Tano, Cairo, and with Koutoulakis and Segradakis. Gallatin Collection purchased by the Metropolitan Museum from Mr. Gallatin's estate, 1966.
