Des Couleurs et de leurs Applications aux Arts Industriels à l'Aide de Cercles Chromatiques
Not on view
Chevreul, a French chemist whose work was inspired by his study of textile dyes while director of the Gobelins Tapestry Works, published the most widely used color manuals of the nineteenth century. His work as a scientist prompted him to publish the twenty-seven blended chromatic circles in this book, which became an invaluable resource for artists and designers. Moore kept up with the latest color theory as he introduced color into his silver designs.
