Copy in reverse after Hollar from Ogilby's "The Fables of Aesop," vol. 1, 3rd edition, London, 1673, illustrating the fable of Cupid and Death. Cupid and Death fly above, and their arrows have been exchanged, so Death aims Cupid's darts at old men and women dancing, and Cupid at four sickening young people, one already dead. At center a young man raises his arms to beseach Cupid.
