A Literary Discussion in the Second Tier, from "Le Charivari"

February 27, 1864
Not on view
The "discussion" of the title is actually a fight taking place in the tightly-packed second tier of a theater. A central figure lurches forward to strangle and dangle another spectator over the balcony. Another man tries to restrain him from behind, while the crowd reacts with mouths agape.
