Nude at Bedside
Many of Sloan's nude plates include accessories and surroundings that were not actually there, as was the case with this one. Sloan notes that for this plate, the model was sitting somewhere in his studio and the accompanying surroundings were largely of his own invention, see: Morse 1969, p. 295.
