Trade cards from the "Ball Players" (baseball) series (E145). Two sets were issued, one in 1914 (144 cards) and a reissue in 1915 (176 cards), to be distributed in boxes of Cracker Jack caramel popcorn and peanut confection. The 1915 issue is an expanded set of the earlier year. Backs feature the card number, biography of the player pictured, an advertisement and instructions for redeeming coupon included in packaging. 1915 backs are printed upside down for ease when including in album acquired with the coupons.
