Yamut Main Carpet

Not on view

In Turkmen tents a ‘main carpet’ covered the floor, while storage bags with carpet-woven faces hung from the tent walls and carpet-woven door hangings protected the entrance. This carpet contains V-shaped motifs similar to those found in some Turkmen jewelry.
