Stained Glass Panel with St. Barbara

British

On view at The Met Fifth Avenue in Gallery 306

This figure and a companion piece in the Burrell Collection, Glasgow, have distinctive stylistic features, such as the voluminous but graceful drapery and the large, heavily shaded eyes, that are the hallmarks of a late Gothic style produced by a workshop in Norfolk.
