This work of art was on loan to the museum and has since been returned to its lender.This jug is related to a large group of copper-alloy vessels similar in form and manufacturing technique. Examples have been found throughout the Mediterranean, suggesting that they were made in many workshops over a relatively long period (sixth to eighth century).
