This work of art was on loan to the museum and has since been returned to its lender.
This jug was found in the bath (hammam) of the palace. Bath houses in Umayyad palaces were private versions of the elaborate baths of the Roman and Byzantine world. Metal jugs reflected the wealth of the owner.
