This work of art was on loan to the museum and has since been returned to its lender.
This chalice features two scenes of the Adoration of the Cross: on one side, two angels approach a stepped shrine containing a large jeweled cross, likely representing the cross at Golgotha. The fragmentary scene on the other side depicts a man facing the cross, arms raised in prayer.
