Dress panel

Designer Hector Guimard French

Not on view

One of the most original Art Nouveau designers, Hector Guimard turned his hand to a wide range of projects. This silk panel, possibly designed as an insert for the bodice of a dress, recalls his innovative designs from the same time for ironwork used on the entrances to the Paris Métro.
