This work of art was on loan to the museum and has since been returned to its lender.
This border panel surrounded one of the Ancestors of Christ figures in a clerestory window at Canterbury Cathedral. Note the weathering on the reverse of the glass; exposure to the elements over the centuries caused the corrosion and deep pitting.
