This work of art was on loan to the museum and has since been returned to its lender.
Born a Hohenzollern, Princess Radziwill (1770–1836) married in 1796 into an ancient and powerful Polish dynasty. Vigée Le Brun portrays her with a gold arrow in her hair and wearing a velvet gown with a stand-up collar, a nod to Van Dyck, a courtier-artist she greatly admired.
