Not on view

Untitled and unnumbered plate with view of an excavation in a landscape. At center, several figures dig around an arch at center, while other figures push wheelbarrows. This image appears below plate 53, "Centaur conduit par une Baccante," which shows a Maenad riding on the back of a centaur and holding a thyrsus, after a painting from Pompeii. This motif from plate 53 is also seen on the frieze of the arch in the excavation scene.
