Emiliano Zapata was the leading figure of the Mexican Revolution. He became its hero, serving in much the same way that Che Guevara served the revolutionary generation of the 1960s. Zapata was closely identified with the agrarian struggle, a movement that aspired to improve conditions for people who worked on the land. This print shows him under arrest in 1908 for promoting reforms.
