This work of art is currently on loan to the museum.
This violin was owned by renowned American folk fiddler Byron Berline, who played it on the Rolling Stones’ “Country Honk” from Let It Bleed (1969). Singer-songwriter Gram Parsons recommended Berline to the Stones for the country version of “Honky Tonk Women.”

Technical Description: Spruce top, maple back, sides, and neck, ebony fingerboard, tailpiece and chin rest; one fine tuner on E string
