This work of art is currently on loan to the museum.While the acoustic guitar has long been used in rock and roll, the mandolin has made only rare appearances. Peter Buck of R.E.M. used this instrument to write and record the hook in “Losing My Religion” (1991) and plays it in the music video for the song.
