Vest
Returned to lender
This work of art was on loan to the museum and has since been returned to its lender. This stylish vest was made of swatches from more than thirty types of fabric, including velvet and silk with gold and silver embroidery, resulting in a colorful and playful composition. Patchwork had connotations of longevity, since stitching together the scraps extended their use.
