The Virgin adoring the Christ Child
According to a pencil inscription on the matt, this is after a drawing by Giovanni Cima da Conegliano in the Museum Boymans van Beuningen, Rotterdam (Borenius 54.27). The only other impression known is one formerly in the Royal Academy, London, and offered for sale by Colnaghi, 1985 (Ruth Bromberg, 'Master Prints - Fifteenth to Ninetheenth Century, cat.no. 50). The information regarding provenance of this Met impression (ex. coll. Trivulzio) comes from a pencil inscription on verso of drawing.
