This work of art is currently on loan to the museum.
In his reform of imperial ritual vessels, the Qianlong emperor reintroduced ancient bronze shapes and imposed strict regulations on the color of porcelain vessels for each state altar. Covered in monochrome white glaze, this vessel was designed for the Altars of Agriculture, Sky Deities, and God of the Year. This specific type of container was used for grain.
