Bust of a man
Joseph Chinard French
Not on view
This bust, initially acquired as a portrait of the radical pamphleteer, Jacques-René Hébert, nicknamed Père Duchesne, is now believed to depict an unidentified young revolutionary. The informality of the tousled hair contrasts with the classically inspired herm cut of the bust.
