Manufactory Bromley Hall Printworks

Not on view

The design of this unusual printed cotton is actually recorded in a series of impressions on paper in a pattern book inscribed Fosters and Co., Bromley Hall, Middlesex, about 1780. The technique and width of this version suggest a date in the 1830s, after discharge printing had been invented.
