Statuette of a Nude Woman

Middle Kingdom

Not on view

This statuette represents a nude woman with a short wig who stands with arms at her sides and hands outstretched. It has been inserted into a modern base. The rather crude statuette was made for a lower-level member of Egyptian society, who was nevertheless able to commission a quite modest tomb sculpture.
