Lidded vase decorated with a frieze filled with interlinked rings and flowers, interrupted by lion's heads. The body of the vase is further decorated with a garland and lions in high relief. Seventh plate from a series of twelve vases after the antique, engraved by Antonio Veneziano dated 1530-1531. The prints were later published again by Antonio Salamanca. The same vase is also included in another series of vase designs after the Antique by Enea Vico and Agostino Veneziano, published by Antonio Lafreri around 1573.
