Rectangular design for the decoration of a tobacco box. In the center a rectangular compartment shows a figurative scene of a woman and a pierrot. The pierrot has taken off his hat and the woman is holding a mask in her hand. The cupids and doves in the decorative frame around it sugggest that they are lovers.
