Not on view

Print from a series of six (incomplete) with designs for various small objects related to goldsmith's work. The print shows five designs. On the top left and right there is a decorative motif made out of strapwork surrounding a central scene. On the left the rape of a woman by a sea centaur. On the right the goddess Venus on a dolphin. Below these motifs are designs for grips, on the left one probably meant for a walking cane, on the right a grip for a lid to a bowl. Evenly spread across the page are natural renderings of insects, surrounding the smaller designs. In the middle, there is a large rectangular designs, possibly the lid to a snuff or tobacco box, with in the center a scene of Hercules and Antaeus.
