Mosque Lamp of Amir Sayf al-Din Shaykhu
Not on view
For his architectural complex in Cairo, built between 1349 and 1355, Amir Shaykhu commissioned numerous lamps, several of which are now in museum collections. This lamp is a composite of two fragments of Shayku's lamps, probably combined historically and once joined by large metal brackets (note the holes on the neck).
