Luster Bowl
Not on view
This bowl, reconstructed from ancient fragments and some modern infills, is an example of the earliest stonepaste vessels produced in Syria in the second half of the 11th century. Coated with a turquoise glaze, it features a six-pointed star whose points alternate with vegetal designs in golden luster.
