This plate comes from a series of designs for gunsmiths. The center of the plate is occupied by a flintlock with hunting trophies, animals, a grotesque mask and a godess in a carriage drawn by a stag. Other designs on the page include cartouches, two designs of cocks, a wrist escutcheon with three fleur-de-lis, a mascaron and a crown, a side plate with a dragon, other fittings, and groupings of shells.
