Dancers

Carlos Orozco Romero Mexican

Not on view

In addition to painting and printmaking, Orozco Romero created set designs and costumes. This print, showing two dancers leaping across a darkened space, might be related to a performance. Other paintings he made around the same time depict the circus. Orozco Romero was an experimental printmaker, and here we see him testing out different types of color pigment. Unusually, only two impressions of this lithograph were printed.
