22nd plate of album with 60 19th-century costume plates and 1 drawing of mostly women's historical costumes, featuring a variety of designs for traditional costumes from different parts of the world, as well as costumes for literary characters, including Esmeralda. This plate consists of a woman wearing a costume for a female clown, made up of a double-flounce, calf-lenght dress with thick, vertical, soft pink and black stripes and scattered red dots, short, white ruffled sleeves and a white ruff collar, a cone-shaped light gray hat, long, white gloves, and light gray stockings and shoes with red ribbon bows.
