Page of book containing 185 leaves with a collection of lithographs, aquatints, engravings, and other media, with ornamental designs published by Fleury Chavant in Paris, part of the publication "Guide du Dessinateur de l'industrie: une macédoine de dessins variés , tels que fleurs, ornemens, etc. ... Ouvrage destiné aux fabricants et dessinateurs de soieries... et Papiers Peints..." This plate contains various ornamental designs with bundles of stylized flowers after creations by Ducerceau. In the center of the sheet is a flower arrangement made up of a base with scrolling acanthus leaves, flanked by an inverted bell-shaped motif, on which stands a long cane, and two stylized bell-shaped flowers. The cane is surrounded by scrolling acanthus leaves, other stylized leaves, stylized flowers and fruits, and decorated on the upper part by a scrolling ribbon. Around this central bundle are smaller bundles with different sorts of stylized flowers and leaves, some of them also with scrolling acanthus leaves, and some presenting exotic varietals of flowers. The designs are executed with black ink on thin, light brown paper.
